Hanna Drzewiecka was born in Bydgoszcz , Poland. After her music studies in native town under supervision of Pawel Radzinski, she studied with Krzysztof Podejko at the Fryderyk Chopin Music Academy of Warsaw where she obtained her Master’s degree in 1994. In 1995, she was awarded the superior degree and a Master’s degree at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel with great distinction under the supervision of Thanos Adamopoulos, followed by a chamber music diploma obtained with great distinctions.Hanna has participated in numerous international competitions. In 1987, she won a prize on the 18th Festival for Russian and Soviet Music in Gdansk. In 1996, she was laureate of the Tenuto competition in Belgium and won the prize awarded by the SABAM (Society of Belgian authors and composers) for the best interpretation of a Belgian piece. Hanna Drzewiecka plays chamber music and as a soloist she has played with, among others, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bydgoszcz, the Capella Bydgostiensis, the Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra of Warsaw, I Musici Bruxellensis and the VRO in Belgium as well as abroad. In January 2005, she was the guest of the 4th International Jean Sibelius Conference in the USA to play unpublished works for piano and violin. Hanna Drzewiecka is a concertmaster of the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra since 2006.She received from the Polish Embassy in Belgium , the prestigious award  “Personality of the Year 2008” in the category Culture.
